Important Year-End Deadlines for Corporate Payroll Services
Corporate Payroll Services would want to emphasize essential information, including year-end deadlines, for all units and workers to take note of as the end of the year draws near. As a result, in order to meet these important deadlines, we will need your help. Corporate Payroll Services will adhere to all regularly scheduled deadlines listed on the payroll website during this week.
The last offcycle check processing for 2021 is schedule for Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Please ensure all prior period offcycle requests needing to be paid in 2021 are received by Corporate Payroll on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 12noon. All offcycle checks will be mailed on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, to the employee’s mailing address on file.
For the biweekly pay period ending January 1, 2022, we have modified the time and attendance and electronic time card closing schedules in favor of the designated New Year’s holiday (Pay Period 01-22). Following are the updated schedules.
Time and attendance reports every two weeks and electronic time card lockdown:
- Tuesday, January 4, 2022 8:00 AM employee lockdown
- Tuesday, January 4, 2021 12:00 PM system lockdown
Deadlines for biweekly gross adjustments and paper time cards
- Wednesday, December 29, 2021 – Prior Period Gross Adjustments and Prior Period Paper Time Cards
- Tuesday, January 4, 2022 3:00 PM – Current Pay Period Gross Adjustments and Paper Time Cards
Since Tuesday, January 4, 2022, is set aside for the first offcycle check processing of 2022, the deadline for submitting all preceding period offcycle requests is set for Thursday, December 30 at noon. All offcycle checks will be sent to the employee’s registered mailing address on Thursday, January 5, 2022.
Users of Time and Attendance can access their time cards whenever is most convenient (24 hours a day, seven days per week). Users of electronic time cards can access their time cards whenever is most convenient (24 hours per day, seven days per week). Reminder: Only the following situations should call for the usage of paper time cards:
- late hiring papers
- Creating late secondary roles
- sluggish transfers
- Time and Attendance System critical error messages that have not been resolved
The mechanisms to be utilized for recording time are Electronic Time Cards and/or Time and Attendance systems. Please get in touch with Corporate Payroll Services before submitting a paper time card if you’re doing so for any other reason than incomplete documentation or unresolved major error alerts in the Time and Attendance System. Please use this opportunity to inform managers that the Duke Mobile App can be used to complete approvals. This is a practical choice if the supervisors are out of town or elsewhere during the approval window.
