According to the data, the 22–25 year old age group saw the most enrollments (0.40 million net subscribers), followed by the 18–21 year age group (0.32 million new members). According to the ministry, “this shows that many first-time job seekers are entering the organized sector workforce in big numbers and have contributed around 49.18 percent of total net subscriber additions in August, 2021.”

The establishments covered in the states of Maharashtra, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka have added about 0.89 million subscribers during the month, which is roughly 60.45 percent of the total net payroll addition across all age groups, according to state-by-state comparison of payroll figures.

The percentage of female enrollment in the total addition is roughly 20% of the month’s total net subscriber increase. Lower female member exits during the month were largely to blame, it was claimed.
